Charité – LingPed Medical Product Demo
Video Production • Product Communication • Medical Consultation
Concept development and end-to-end video production for a team of trauma
surgeons at Charité Berlin, who developed LingPed, a medical technology
combining smart insoles and software to support post-surgical rehabilitation.

Concept development
LingPed combined a mobile app, smart insole hardware and software with complex surgical and rehabilitation processes. The medical team struggled to communicate how these components worked together and demonstrate the technology's value to potential investors.
To support their fundraising efforts at medical conferences, they needed a short, compelling video that clearly explained and visualized the system, its functionality and its clinical benefits.
Script & Storyboard
One of the key challenges was explaining complex medical technology and surgical procedures in a way that was scientifically accurate, accessible to non-medical audiences and informative rather than promotional.
I wrote the script specifically for voice-over narration, combining medical explanations with a clear, engaging narrative. I then developed a step-by-step storyboard covering the ankle fracture, surgical fixation and rehabilitation process.
Working closely with trauma surgeons, I refined the script, anatomical details and visual sequences to ensure medical accuracy while maintaining clarity, narrative flow and visual coherence.

Video Production
Filming during live surgery presented a unique challenge: there were no opportunities for retakes, and every shot had to be captured accurately without interfering with the medical procedures.
I directed and coordinated the filming under strict clinical conditions, working closely with the surgical team. I also supervised the 3D animation team to ensure that anatomical structures, surgical techniques and technical processes were represented accurately while remaining visually clear and easy to understand.
Music & Voice over
I selected an upbeat, engaging soundtrack that felt dynamic without being overly commercial, and synchronized the animations and visual transitions to the rhythm of the music.
For the voice-over, I reviewed numerous voice artists before selecting an American freelancer whose voice suited the medical context. I directed the recording of multiple variations and carefully edited the best takes together, creating a natural, engaging narration with the right pacing, emphasis and rhythm.
